Topic: links to PDFs give error

In my Reflection component exposition of my PhD in Artistic Research (which I can not edit anymore) I have noticed that several links to embedded pdfs are missing. When I click on the highlighted words, a new window opens with the text:

Error
Gone

The page is here:

https://www.researchcatalogue.net/view/1741618/1742018/2/15627

The words  'Sum' 'PLPG' and 'Crossroads' should link to pdf's of the schematics of the modules

Is it possible to reinstate the links?
How is it possible for them to stop working?

Best
Tijs

Re: links to PDFs give error

Dear Tijs,
Direct links to view PDFs in RC are temporary. Therefore, they stop working after a few days. This is to prevent search engines such as Google from displaying our users' PDF files.

If you want to hyperlink a PDF, do the following:
Create a public set in your media repository with the PDF files you want to use.
    • Go to your profile -> sets -> search for the set that you created -> open it and search for the PDF -> click "download pdf"
    • Use this link for the hyperlink.

Regarding the possibility of fixing the links, the exposition is published on the Faculty of Fine Arts, Music and Design, University of Bergen portal. Please contact the administrator of this portal, Anne-Len Thoresen, to temporarily unpublish your exposition, allowing you to edit the hyperlinks. Once you have fixed the links, re-publish it. The DOI will remain the same after re-publication.
