Topic: Not possible to copy weave contents after 'select all'

Hi there,

this is a very common function I'd be using, copying the entire contents of one weave to another one (possibly across expositions). This is currently very painstaking, because you have to Ctrl-Click on each individual element, which makes this not feasible for larger weaves. There is a reaction to select-all Ctrl-A, selecting all weave elements, but then, at least for a larger weave, context menu copy simply doesn't work. It shows up as a menu item, but nothing happens. When I try to paste into the blank new weave, there is no paste context menu.

Alternatively, having a rubber-band selection would also solve this.

Best wishes,

Hanns Holger

Do you have an example RC url where this happens (you can also mail the url (casper@researchcatalogue.net) if it is not public).
I will try to see if the developers can easily make the limit higher, in the best case it is just a number.
The rubber band option sounds interesting. There have also been quite a few users requesting a page duplication option, would that help your case, or do you only copy parts of the page?

For example (private) https://www.researchcatalogue.net/view/2894874/2897603?c=7 select-all, copy -> https://www.researchcatalogue.net/editor?research=2894874&weave=2976455 paste ; here it's not greyed out, but only one element is pasted. I think the greyed out is mostly between expositions.

Page duplication would help, but really most of the time I need a partial selection (rubberband) for a group of objects.
