Hi Lenka,
Thanks for letting us know!
It seems that the displacement of the tool has created a bug. I reported it to our developers. They will do their best to fix it. I'll keep you posted.
Best!

Hi Lenka,
Yes, there is a way to find your media file based on the name.
In the workspace of the exposition, click on the right menu "pages" and select your page "image archive."
In the same menu click now on "media" -> "simple media."
A list of the media used on the page will appear. Search for the IMG_1085. The list is ordered alphabetically.
At the moment, there are three iterations of the media IMG_1085. Probably, you need to delete these three to be sure.
I hope this helps!
Best!

Dear Lenka,
Thanks for your question!
On which page do you find this problem? Is it on the one called "Image archive"?

Dear Flick,
Thanks for your question.
Yes, you can set the background color of a block page in "edit page" (pen icon) -> "style" -> "background"
There is no option for using an image as background in the block exposition.

Dear Mikael,
Thanks for your question!
Please note that 100% opacity of a tool means total transparency. The tool is not visible anymore.
Unfortunately, opacity does not work well with video tools. The video tool has a black background by default. 100 transparency result in a black background. Changing the color of the background of the video tool does not change that when using opacity. I will ask RC developers if it is possible to change the default background of the video tool. We'll keep you posted.

Dear Charlotta,
Thanks for contacting us!
The exposition was not deleted but made private. The grey color means that the exposition is private and is now only visible to its authors.
In addition, it seems that the ownership of the exposition has been changed from you to another author. Only the owner of the exposition can share, publish or submit the exposition to publication. Therefore, the options of "share" and "publish" do not appear now in your profile.
I hope this helps!
Best wishes,

Hi Martin,
Thanks for contacting us!
It seems to be a bug in the text editor. Can you send the link to the exposition to user support? Thanks!
Best, user support

H Louise,
Thanks for contacting us!

To link to a specific position.
In the workspace, on the page that you want to link, go to the position that you want to show and click on menu -> "options" -> "show current position"
A new window should appear. Copy the URL shown in this window. Use this URL for the hyperlinking.

Please note that at the moment you are not using these URLs but the URLs for editing the pages.
The correct URLs should look like https://www.researchcatalogue.net/view/ and then numbers. Editors pages on the other hand are https://www.researchcatalogue.net/editor?

Best!

It would have been possible if the share link was shared before the submission. After the submission sharing is not possible until the end of the review.
Best wishes

Dear Flink,
After submission, an exposition cannot be edited anymore until the end of the reviewing process. "Edit" also includes self-publishing and sharing.

Best wishes

Dear Martin,
Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the problem that you are describing. The workspace of your expositions seems to work properly here.
We would like to investigate more deeply the bug. I do not think the anti-virus is creating the problem.
Please can you send the following information to user support support@researchcatalogue.net ?
Are you experiencing the problem in all the expositions or only in a specific one? Which one?
Which system(s) are you using?
Can you send screenshots of the problem?

Thanks!
Best!

Hi Thorolf,
answering your questions
1. It is not possible. The poping up of the bar is to show the viewer, who may not be an RC user herself, the exposition information and menu.
2.The HTML editor text size is fixed, but you can increase the zoom of your browser to make it bigger and be able to work on it.
3. It is the right place if you want the 1.5 line spacing for the whole page. If you want it only for a text or paragraph it is better to use "edit HTML source" of the HTML tool and use span. For example  <span style="line-height: 1.5em;"> text </span>
4. Unfortunately, it is not possible. It has to be inserted as a text or htmll tool.
I hope this helps.
Happy Holidays!

Dear Helen,
Sorry for the late answer.

The autonumbered footnotes are restricted to one page.
Still, it is possible to have footnotes number across multiple pages by creating yourself with a simple text footnote.
In the HTML tool, in which the first footnote should be, write the number "1" for the first footnote
Select the text "1" and click "Insert/edit link or footnote" in the menu
Proceed in order in the same way for the subsequent footnotes.

More information about footnotes here:
https://guide.researchcatalogue.net/#fo … d-popovers

You can find a video tutorial on footnotes here:
https://www.researchcatalogue.net/view/273532/273533

I hope this helps

Dear Jim,
Thanks for the suggestion!
About the audio volume. Yes, "display volume" is an off-on button. It does not regulate the general volume. We decided not to include a volume control because regardless, at which level a user would adjust the volume of the audio tool in an exposition, the level of the volume will depend ultimately on each viewers' device, player, and volume control.
Best!

Thanks for the link! It really helps. Unfortunately, the black squares are the screens of the video tools. They are not the transparency of thumbnails turning black in preview. I am afraid the screens can not be avoided.

Thanks for the report. Yes, "view public profile" should work as intended, even if the public view for the other users works fine. We are working on the bug.

Dear Michael,
as long as I know (Casper correct me if I am wrong.) it is not possible to receive notifications from other conversations. As administrator of the forum, I do not receive them myself. I recommend just to visit the forum regularly.

Hi Flick, thanks for your comment!
Regarding the zip files. The possibility of uploading zip-files is actually a legacy of the old version and does not have a proper use. It will be removed.
